Is there a way or even a kit that will raise the front fender up 2 inchs or so? I just don't think you can replace a 19 inch wheel with a 21 inch wheel without doing it! So that makes me think that there's a kit out there somewhere. If not I am going to the shop tomorrow and make me one it might not be chrome or even the same color as the bike but I can paint it gloss black and it should look OK. anyways do you know of such kit? If so please point me in the right direction. Thanks alot, Naz
I'm not sure what the exact measurents are, but the overall diameter of a 21" wheel and a low-profile wheel shouldn't be that different than the 19" wheel and the stock tire. Same thing goes for owners who put an 18" tire on the rear in place of the stock 16" with no problems, the lower profile tire makes up for the difference in rim diameter. Look for a couple of threads on this board for those who changed the stock Dyna wheel for the larger wheel, I don't remember anyone having to ditch the front fender.
Trust me you wont like a 21 inch front wheel. I went from a 19 to a 21 because I had to, and the 21 feels every little groove in the road. Also if you go to a 21 inch wheel, I think you have to go to a tubed tire.
Thanks guys, Maybe I should just look for a 19 inch chrome wheel then... I was gonna get a 2 wheel combo 16 and 21 wheel for 300 bucks. I have seen the 19 for about 400 bucks, unless any of you know where I can get it cheaper? Just looking for chrome spoke wheels!
