Default 21" front wheel

Good morning. Hopefully this is not a silly question.

Does a 21" wheel bolt right on to my 2012 flhrc with no mods at all? I believe going bigger than 21" requires mods, but not sure about the 21"

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that a 21" wheel will fit just fine if it has the right tire on it. I think the 100/90 has a total diameter that is fine for where a stock fender is.

I have heard of people moving the stock fender up to accomodate larger wheels, so if it rubs a little you may try that

A 21 x 3.5" with bolt right up with your stock fender with no problems! But like with cars no two Harleys are exactly the same, the specs may be slightly different, occasionally you may need to loosen the back two fender bolts and angle the fender down to get more clearance. You may even need to take the rear bolts out a drill a slightly bigger hole so you can move the fender a bit further.

But a 21" Rim WILL fit with your 2012 Road King Classic!

So... Do you have a 21" picked out yet? How about a black 21x2.15 rim laced to a dual disc hub?

On a Road King you would probably want a 21x3.5" rim with a 120/70/21 tire in order to fill up the fender nicely. Sure you can use a narrow 21" wheel if you want but if you are going to buy a wheel you might as well get a wide wheel as it looks better and will ride better on a large touring motorcycle.

I would go 3.5. Here is a couple pics of mine. Its a Paughco 80 Spoke. I didn't have to move fender, just trimed the bolt that mounts the fender tip.
