LiveWire Livewire
What is not being made clear is that frequent use of the DC Fast Charger dramatically reduces battery life, which is why Harley-Davidson does NOT recommend that the bike be charged at the dealership more than one time out of four or five charges. In other words, you should charge the LiveWire at home, at the 12-hour rate, approximately four times for every time you charge it at the dealership. Or you will damage the battery.
I have seen the Zero's they are cheap looking junk to me.

Harley is entering and taking the high end of the market over the next couple of years, and the Chinese companies are prepared to swarm us on the low end. Yamaha and Honda have shown electric prototypes, and BMW said that they will have electric bikes around five years from now.
The market for medium to premium electric motorcycles will, IMO, look very very different five years from now.

There also is a Taiwanese company that makes electric scooters with easily replaceable batteries. Their scooter use two 1.3 KWH batteries, which is much less than the 15 KWH of the live wire. But you just roll up to a battery station pull your two batteries out place them in a charger and pull two fresh batteries out of the charger. Let the charging station worry about how fast or slow to recharge. You are gone quicker than a person pumping gas.
Now something like a livewire would need 10-12 of the replaceable batteries but swapping them would still be quick.
Yamaha has partner with them and I really think this is the future of electric motorcycles.

gotta resort to insults when you have no facts to back anything up?
I would ditch zero in an instant if there was an actual BETTER bike that was worth the money out there.
It isn’t being a troll to expect facts and not opinions.
If Enericga can bump their dealer network up, they currently have the best range/quality bike coming to the market for the price point.
if Harley can drop their price or increase their range? They could have a great seller because it is definitely the best QUALITY for sure...Price would be worth it is they had another 30-40 miles of true highway speeds in that battery!
if Zero does nothing to improve their fit/finish and range (which isn’t looking good since they put out the specs for the SR/F power tank and I am disappointed in overall fit/finish for a 20K bike).....they are going to be beat out of the market for sure and get run out of business.
claiming that the Harley gets 130 miles of HIGHWAY speeds....when even HARLEY says highway is 70MPH and NOT 55MPH....is simply misinformation and shouldn’t be thrown around as gospel.
simple as that.

BMW actually has a really nice high quality step through scooter out right now so i would be surprised if it is even 5 years for them.
and We have gone back and forth on this before....but I do think you are right that Harley is taking the high end of the market with the livewire. I was hoping that when the power tank came out for the SR/F they would use it as a way to address the much bigger batteries from Energica and the quality of Harley. But nope. Still only bumps it to 18kW over all AND costs 3.5k to install. Which puts a new SR/F at over 25k after TTL 🤦🏻♂️
And you’ve never mentioned thinking they will be bought out before (since I’ve started responding I mean).....but I could see that.
from all appearances Harley did Alta pretty dirty in what COULD be called a version of a hostile take over. Wonder if they would try that again with zero?
I have heard from multiple sources that the livewires is on point. That’s a pretty big deal.
