The installation of the RH slip-ons was done at the dealer and supposedly dynoed for a SERT map for four hours. Now I have very sluggish throttle response. The grip can be twisted to 10-20% throttle quickly and returned and the engine barely responds, nothing like it was. The bike seems a lot slower to build up RPMs now too. Any thoughts...?
The dealer also would not let me have a copy of the map. Have I been flim flammed? Sure appears the case....Seems like the response of a too open exhaust - not enough back pressure. Or what?
For them not to give you a copy of the dyno is total bs.
Not sure of the map as I'm more familiar with PCsbut have always received a copy if requested.
I just reinstalled the stock mufflers - throttle response is back! It's quiet, but runs like it did before this costly episode with the dealer (stealer). So, what the heck kind of map did they install in the SERT to compensate for the straight through RH slip-on mufflers? Aparently not a damned thing! And these are the people who will threaten a customer with their warranty....! They have simply screwed me around to the tune of $320 for a 'custom SERT map', (that they couldn't produce for me). It that ***** or what? Thieving, maybe?
