Flawless for the first 500 miles. Plus it's a helluva lot of fun to ride.
I just picked up the identical bike a few days ago. Absolutely love the color. Can you post a picture of the front? I need to get some highway pegs and really like the looks of yours.
I had my M8 StreetGlide into the dealer for it's 1000 mile service last week. Two days later I notice two 1" by 3" oil stains under it before taking it to work. I think to myself "Oh $hit!". So I clean the oil from the floor, check oil level, ride to and from work, park it for the night and recheck the next morning. Sure enough another fresh 1" by 3" oil stain!!!!
I thought about getting under the bike and checking torque on all drain holes and the oil filter, then told myself "F" that! I paid the dealer way to much money for this "service" for me to be redoing there work! So I took it back the next day. (Yeah, there was another fresh oil stain that morning too). I was sitting at the dealer when they opened.
When I told them the deal they were sufficiently concerned and brought my bike straight in. I was actually happy with their level of concern.
Long story short, turns out the service tech simply put too much oil on the open heavy breather air filter. It was dripping down the side of the engine just forward of the "timing" cover. Man was I relieved! It's been oil tight since. Therefore my M8 is at 1.4k and trouble free.

Thanks, Congrats on yours as well. Beautiful bikes. We are very fortunate! No dealer in 500 miles of my house in the northeast had this color. I had to drive for it, and bought it as it was coming off the truck.

Peace out...
Good post. I never allow any tech to touch my bike other than the one I like. Their master level service guy. Not even to push it into the shop. My dealer makes sure this little rule that I want gets enforced. Yep, I am kind of picky, but they are OK with it. Actually the service manager said it not that unusual, and other customers have their favorite tech. If the customer does not ask they give it to whoever is open. Seems like you were OK since they took good care of you. Ride safe.
