All the dealers around KC seem to have plenty. But they are turning them over pretty quick.
Better to wait until February, after the gotta-have-the newest-thing crowd is all done.

Wish I was in position to buy new right now... Scattered among the '17s at my dealer are the '16 leftovers. A superior blue RGU would be my choice and they have one....

Stopped by 2 Chicago area dealers today and not a lot of 17's. Hoping to see a blue silver limited. I have one on order for December but would like to see one in person. Mike

The reason I posted this in the first place was that the inventory seemed off compaired to previous years. Now after reading some of these threads with oil pump problems has got me wondering if someone hit the stop button on the production line because of these problems. Better to get these problems taken care of before they hit the showroom floor. Also if I remember right, reading back a couple of years ago that the new CEO was going to forgo a whole lot of R & D testing to reduce costs.

Harley is withholding shipments to dealers with too many 16's on the floor.

Withhold R&D? The M8 had 1.5 million miles of testing. Some mules have 300K on them. It was the most researched and tested platform in H-D history.
