Tool Roll?

Tool Roll?
Who makes an inexpensive tool roll that's compatible with these newer bikes? The HD one seems nice but is ridiculously priced. Any help would be great!

Here's one I've been considering. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-wrenc...p-00965877000P If your tools are shorter, you can fold the top over the bottom before you roll it up. The price is right anyway.

I was thinking of the tool roll as well. First problem is it's too bulky. Takes up a lot of room in the bags. So I went with an Army Surplus Canvas bag, about 9" long and 5" wide. Ended up getting two of the bags, one has sockets and ratchets, since the Rushmore's req standard and metric along with torque bits. The second has screwdrivers and open end wrenches. I put each bag in a leather tool bag. One tool bag in each Saddlebag, evens out the weight side to side. At least this way I am able to have the correct tool when I need it.

I've been looking around and I think I'll just build my own. The vendor offerings for kits look pretty inadequate. I don't see ever needing a spark plug socket or a plug gap tool. If I drop a plug, roadside assistance will be called. I think I'll get a few wrenches, some Allen Keys, a multi-tool, some electrical tape, a crescent wrench, some spare fuses, and some tie-wraps. Call it good.

I Carry a Cruz H3 kit. It may have some stuff I wont need, but someone else may. I replaced my shift link ends and put the OEM take offs in my bags for someone else. Ya never know when you might have to help a brother out.

Reminds me of a time my clutch cable broke on me. I put the vise grips on the end of the cable then wrapped it around the mirror stem and rode on. We don't have cable any more, but it is a pretty versatile tool. Good luck.

I've got two of these Craftsman Tool Bags, or a version of it anyway. One for my Harley and one for the Goldwing. I've had them for at least 10 years now and used them on several bikes. It packs small with the few tools I carry around town, and it'll handle the set I carry when traveling. On sale now from K-Mart at $3.49.

Have Capt. Itch's(Larry's) wife Isabelle make you a leather one and then put the tools that you want in it.
That's what I did. Turned out real nice and Larry and Isabelle are real super nice to work with too.
