This is my first post in this forum, signed the papers and traded my beloved Dyna in on a new 2017 Vivid Black Street Glide Special today. Just wanted to post to introduce myself and show off the new bike. This will be my first bagger, but I've outgrown the Street Bob, so it was time.
I'm doing a bunch of upgrades right away;
-STG II Torque with SE Heavy Breather intake and Street Cannon slip-ons
-Blacked out motor kit
-Daymaker headlight and led smoked taillight
-RSD Boss 2 up seat
-Todd's Cycle 13" Bagger Apes
-Black tank console
-Defiance collection accesories
-A few other minor things that I can't think of right now
I only have one pic so far, but I'll take some more to post tomorrow, and then more once the install is complete.
Congrats on the new bike... I too just sold my 2014 Street Bob, and have a '17 SGS on order in Laguna Orange. I live overseas with the army, so waiting for it to be delivered in late March early April.

Is it spring yet???
Thanks for posting. I did something very similar. I went with the 2017 Ultra Limited. I always said I would never buy a bagger. Just way too many of them around here. But I rode the Limited and was hooked. Went blacked out motor (kind of pricey) quick release tour pack, solo seat and some other stuff. Did not go stage II or stage III since I really thought the bike pulled like a train stock, so stage I was plenty for me. My wife was super worried I would bitch and complain about not having my old bike, but I do not miss it at all. You will love it. Please keep posting pics, I like watching what other folks are doing.
congrats. let the mods begin. post pics as you go along. I am still breaking in my 17 SGS in black denim w/stage 1 (SE street cannons, Heavy Breather, SE tuner)
contemplating on whether or not I want 10" or higher apes. but swapping out the wheels for 21 front w/120 or 140 tire, 17 rear w/200 tire. This combo shouldn't require any mods.
First, welcome to the forum, kband!! And congratulations on that beautiful new bike. I just turned over 60 miles on my new RGU. You are going to love that new machine.
I see you're in Canada. Are you able to ride at all? Supposed to get up to 40F here today in Iowa. I will definitely be getting a few miles in this afternoon.
Oh, there will be more pics! I can't wait to see how it looks when it's done!

Technically, I COULD ride, temperature wise, I'd just freeze my *** off... It's -6 C here right now... But right now the roads are snow covered and slick, so I won't be riding any time soon... Unless we get a really warm snap, it'll be a few months with no riding for me. It's horrible!
