No, I did not have any sumping issues or any other failures. Was very disappointed in improvement over stock cvo camshaft. Harley Davidson charges premium prices for their upgrades and I expected more. I do still have the bike and it is currently in shop having the stage 3 kit with the 498 camshaft installed. I should have it back by the weekend and will post the results from the dyno. Hopefully this time it will be a significant change. I will say that my dealer has been very accommodating in getting this rectified.
my dealer talked me into installing the torque cam into my 2019 roadglide cvo, very disappointed. Bike is stock except for the cam upgrade and se tuner. Dino sheet showed 3hp and 8ftlbs of torque gain. Afterwards I read in the parts catalog where it states the torque cam is not designed for use in cvo models. Took it back and having se-498 cam installed this week.
Yup, there isn't even a tune in the SEPST database for it. I'd be not to happy with the tech that loaded just any tune.
Depending where you ride, I am not sure your going to like the power cam. Pretty sure your going to lose some low end torque 2 to 3K RPMs. Remember, the reason there isn't a "torque cam" for your bike is because the stock cam profile is basically the same as the Torque cam. If it were me, the way to make this right is to have him put the stock cam back in and leave the adjustable pushrods for down the road. You'll be all set for an aftermarket cam that will make a difference.

Hey Xcrossbow, I don't think the original OP is going to be able to tell you anything. I talked to him back in 17, he HATED the Bike. Here is a post from him earlier in this thread 2017ish.

Thanks for the update. I must have missed that post. Guess he wasn't happy. Actually I just went back thru the thread and I'm not seeing that post that you quoted.

Sorry I was jumping around looking for the comment .. It was a different thread.
So I picked the bike up Saturday before last and am pretty pleased with the performance of the bike with the stage three installed. Picked up 10hp and 10 ft lbs of torque and I can feel it when I roll on the throttle. Went on a 300 mile ride this past Saturday and about mid afternoon I noticed a significant loss of power and smell of oil at stop lights. Pulled into gas station and looked bike over, no traces of oil leaking. Checked the oil and it was a little over a quart low. Was almost home so eased on to the house. Noticed that when you snapped the throttle engine was sluggish and fell back to idle much more rapidly that it had been earlier. Let bike sit and cool for a couple hours and took it for a short test ride and it was back to running normal. Checked oil level again and it was back to nearly the full mark. Sumping? By everything Ive read it appears so. My dealer says it already has the new oil pump and cover in it. They are currently performing the m1450 service bulletin on it to determine whats going on. Hopefully this isnt going to turn into a nightmare for me.

I'm afraid you've just joined the M8 Sumping club. It can be a miserable, long process but at least they are already acknowledging the issue by starting with SB1450. Hopefully they get it sorted out quickly as the riding season is about to begin. My guess is they are going to recommend returning the bike back to stock and hopefully refunding most of your Stage III investment. Good luck.
So Ive read. 😞 Hopefully it wont come to all that. Theres no reason it should be doing this. Thankfully I do have another bike(18 road glide ultra) to ride while this one is down though. Was thinking of doing stage two on it but am holding off for now. Would hate to miss prime riding season due to both bikes being in shop.
I am kinda curious, havent seen anyone posting any sumping issues on Softails. I have a friend of mine that was riding with me when mine dumped. He has a 2018 heritage with a stage four kit on it.
Btw, had not ridden it on a long ride in stock configuration so unsure if issue was present from the factory or if it developed after the stage three install. Does anyone have any feedback on returning it to stock eliminating the sumping issue?
