Well I put some cash down on a 17 street glide special in Laguna orange. It ships out the 17 of January so I guess I get to wait a bit. Way excited to give the 17 a try. O well it will give me some time to strip the 16.
congrats. I waited three weeks for my bike and it felt like months. like you I was also able to remove stuff from my old bike to transfer to the new. glad I didn't have to buy too many new accessories. LED turn signals from custom dynamics swapped right in as well as other misc items. don't forget to take your siren if you have one. Bike comes with alarm but no siren. I forgot mine and had to purchase a new one. luckily I found a $25 siren on ebay that was plug and play and worked perfectly. probably better than stock.
congrats you're going to be in HOG Heaven! I was at a HOG rally the end of August and test road a new RK, almost traded my 15 RK in while there. Came home on Sunday, my dealer had an Orange RK and I bought it Monday, they swapped all my parts over and I had it broken in by the end of the week. Promptly proceeded to put 3000 miles on it as Sept/Oct are great weather/riding here. Odometer hasn't moved much since then as November in Oregon is/was a WET one! bunch of us out there already having cabin fever.
Yes sir boys I am getting excited for sure. Hasn't hit me to bad yet because I know it will be awhile before it gets rode. As we speak it snowed 5" last night and suppose to get 5" more tomorrow night. Time will tell on that but it is 6 degrees right now going to -5. Boy the hunting good though.
When I went to purchase a 2017 SGS, I wasn't aware of the new Laguna Orange color, and my local dealer didn't have one on the sales floor. When the sales person escorted me to the warehouse for other options, there she was. I was in love, instantly.
Guess I was lucky they had one in stock the day I arrived.
