It is almost exactly like the original head pipe but without the catalytic converter. It actually calls for using the stock heat shields...which I am running.
I your Cobras have no converter I doubt you will gain anymore performance on a stage 1.
I love me some Thunderheaders though! 2:20 to 2;35 of my video clip. It pulls hard!!

I hear the "thunder" while riding, underneath my seat, it is addictive. Here is a clip that when you set your stereo on "hall" surround sound you can get a glimpse of the sound at minute 2:00 when he revs it a bit:
I have the 2-1 set up though, and on a Japanese twin engine bike and still hear that rumble!
