400 miles on my street glide and it has developed a vibration felt through the whole bike on deceleration. Pretty dange smooth on excelleration. Anything I can check before it goes to the dealer?
My RK does the same. Bike has 1700 miles. I really haven't given it much thought, but if it's uncommon, I'll have the dealer address it at the 5K check.
More than a few people have mentioned this and their dealers of course stated it was normal. Mine does it as well. Not sure I agree it should be normal...
Could it be the slipper clutch? It will allow the slipping if your clutch is engaged during deceleration. That may feel like vibration. If you pull the clutch in does it go away?

"has developed"..meaning wasn't there until all of a sudden around 400 miles? 6500 miles on my RK, no such issue exists..smooth and consistent throughout thus far, actually very impressed how nicely it behaves....guess I'd be tempted to put a wrench on anything and everything I could to see if something came loose, if not wouldn't wait until the 1K so just get it in asap..good luck

Let's just say I just started noticing it. It sounds like it could have something to do with the slipper clutch.
And when I pull the clutch in and coast it is as smooth as can be.

I've noticed this on mine too. Doesn't do it until the engine heats up. Yesterday it was doing it passing down thru 2600 rpm in any gear. Today, it was doing it passing thru 2400 rpm. I thought it might be tranny or primary so today I just revved it in the driveway in neutral. Of course, the rpms decline really rapidly when there is no load, but I'm pretty sure it's coming from the engine. Really odd. Just does it for a couple hundred rpm on decel once the engine's hot.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the computer's fueling calculation once the engine temp rises.
