Agree with RMC115 Did a test ride on a Chieftian last summer. The heat was nearly unbearable. Smooth ride, took some time to wind it up. I bought a RGU M8. Love it.
I have seen a lot of guys jumping to Indian and found most of them have not ridden anything newer than 2010 and def not 2014 and up. Our Indian dealer is former HD dealer employees I have known a long time and thought I would give them a courtesy test ride. Mike
Let me get this straight. The Indian rides better but the Harley has better paint. And one of the deal breakers is the Harley's engine is quicker? I think we're down to Larry is smarter than Moe. They're both bloated old dudes' bikes. I just don't think it's legal to say quick and the American muscle baggers' names in the same sentence. Now, the wife and I are going to jump on our racing baggers and take advantage of this nice northern Michigan Sunday.
I wouldn't get on a racing bagger even when I first started loving motorcycles, and wanted speed and performance over anything else ... But to each their own. Any bike will exceed the speed limit so I'm looking for more out of a motorcycle then going fast.

Personally I think those two words don't belong in the same sentence, fat bikes a fat bike ain't no racing about it.

I guess the sport tourer is what he was referring to ... Something like the BMW K1600 or Yamaha FJR. Those are fast bikes with bags. I assume the customer for that is a customer that no longer wants a sport bike but isn't ready to admit they were wrong about baggers lol
Tongue in cheek fellas. I have a Victory Cross Country and my wife has an Indian. We're in our 60's so we're not racers. I've got to laugh when guys are talking about how quick their 900 pound bikes are. When i would put the go fast crap on my baggers I couldn't help but think I just made an ill - handling bike go a little quicker between turns. No fights here guys-just thinking.

Former Vic guy here - had three of them. Loved them but didn't buy them because of speed or handling. I loved the leg room and all the storage. That's why I bought them. I love taking about bikes so no fight here.
