Default Quick Question

It's rainy and all sorts of muggy out there today, so in lieu of working up a sweat I thought that I'd just ask everyone here a quick question about my 2017 Heritage. I was feeling a little pigeon toed yesterday, in my left foot, when out on my new to me Heritage. I feel that the forward foot lever could stand to be moved sideways out a bit and that it wouldn't matter if the rear lever were to be moved inwards a bit. I had thought that this could be accomplished by "swapping" shifter shaft positions from the forward lever to the outside and the rear lever to the inside of the shifter shaft?

I could just go out to the garage and pull both levers off to see if the shifter shaft was the same size inside and out - but ! Anyone here know if the shifter shaft splines are the same size, both inside and out?

The splines are the same for both levers. The problem with swapping them like you're talking about is the rear lever won't clear the primary if it's mounted inside...

Default Anyhow!

Anyhow, I pulled the shift levers off today and swapped their mounting positions. I put the rear lever on the inside and the forward lever towards the outside. One wouldn't think that moving anything an inch or so could make SUCH a difference. I'm no longer with my left foot pigeon toed! The levers are now where I like them, more in line with how my foot sets!

FWIW - The rear lever (now on the inside) is still an inch or so clear of the primary cover.
