Navigation: Just Terrible
We're on a trip from Arlington, Texas to Telluride, Colorado on our Road Glide Special. Staying the night in Farmington, New Mexico. So.....we've been using our Harley Nav. Got to say it is the worst. It drops out without warning, gives strange routes, is difficult to follow and washes out in sunlight. It really is close to useless. So, we resort to the Garmin Ap in our IPhone. Shame on Harley for installing this cheesey nav system item in its high dollar motorcycles. 😡

My Nav works fine. I had to customize it in the settings to get it how I want it. There are some roads it doesn't show, but it has never gotten me lost.
I can't see the screen either when the sun is at my back. That's an angle problem, not a Nav problem.

Thanks for the helpful remarks, I'll try any and all suggestions but I'm still perplexed as to why the Garmin in my IPhone is much easier to operate.

I use a Garmin 6 inch num2689Lmt cost me a $160. I just use the suck cup and stick it onto my chrome gas cap door, makes it easy to see in the sun, and real close, real easy to reach and works with gloves on too. Easily fits into my tour pack when not needed. Also works in my Corvette and my F250.

My HD nav can't find it's own engine plant in Wisconsin.My Acura nav can't find 50 year old road around 1,000 year old lake in Wisconsin.So I use WAZE. If it's not right, You can fix map errors.
