Default Speedometer Not Working

Was practicing some floorboard scraping yesterday and after finishing noticed on the drive home that my Speedometer wasn't working. ANYONE HAD THIS?

I had this happen to me. I was out riding and the speedo stopped working, and then a few miles later, the bike stalled. I restarted the bike (off/on) and it started working again, BUT my 3rd gear started slipping.

To make a long story short, there was a half ring/shim in my gear pack between 3-4 gear that slipped out (possibly during factory install) and was getting shredded inside my gear box. The metal flakes and crud were interferring with the speedometer sensor that is attached to the transmission. I took it to my dealer and they rebuilt my transmission with a new gearpack and components. It works fine now and was covered under warranty. It took about 5 days to get my bike back because it was a holiday (July 4) - brought it in Monday, got it back on Friday.

All good now.

If none of your gears are slipping or lunging, it's probably the sensor going bad. Definitely have it checked out!

I haven't experienced any if that but I've only had the bike for 3 weeks. 660 miles. 2017 sgs

Interesting! I have the same bike. Mine happened around the 150 mile mark.
