2017 RGS......Just purchased and waiting on delivery of my NEW slip-ons. Went with RCX Torx 4.5" black on black as pictured below. Listed from RCX for $669.95. Purchased through http://www.bikersimage.com for $530.00 shipped to my door. Should arrive next week. Was going for CFR smooth blacks. But were difficult to find for the right price.
The problem I'm having is finding a nice clean looking BLACK INTAKE for a 2017. I found one on the RCX website $429.95 (also shown below) I liked but doesn't show available for 17'.... I may have to hold tight for a bit till more manufacturers start making more options.... BLAH! ....
Lets see what you all have.... Maybe something you all post may catch my eye..

I installed an S+S stealth which is an open AC like you describe. The intake reversion noise was so bad it was a deal breaker for me. It literally made my engine sound like a diesel. I contacted S+S and was told "yeah sorry about that, nothing can be done about the sound" A lot of people run open AC's and the sound either doesn't bother them or they get used to it. I really wanted to keep the stealth because it looked so good but I just couldn't accept the noise. Every time I twisted the throttle it made me shake my head and cringe. Went back to my HD high flow and all the noise was gone
"Went back to my HD high flow and all the noise was gone" yeah they did a nice job with the SE, and it's not a real puker either. something to be said about proprietary over aftermarket stuff at times
I am running the Stealth as well but with the stock cover off my 17 RKS. I love the look of it (blacked out) and it changed the noise characteristics, so it doesn't sound the same as it did when it was truly open.
In this pic you can see I had their crankcase breather bolts also. Since my trip from Va to SD and back, I have switched out for the DK Catchcan in black.
