OOO yeah they could tell if they wanted to. And yes warranty would be gone if MoCo found out....
Like OMG! I was going down the freeway at 80MPH, when I heard this God awful sound in the exhaust. I looked in the mirrors and there was smoke and debris all over the road. Scared the crap out of me. Maybe I should report this hazard to the NHTSA....😉😉😉😉😉

My cat came out really easy. Once I got the bags and mufflers off I started the bike got down low several feet behind the bike and watched it glow sunfire yellow with the bike running. The collector got a dark orange glow going then I shut it down.
Sad thing about the cat failing in your scenario is the stock mufflers are all baffled up with redirection. Cat pieces would not make it out of the mufflers.

I have EPA compliant Screaming Eagle Street Canons...and they are open straight through. 😉😉😉
the effort to get the cat out (which doesn't seem to be all that much), voiding the warranty, and possibly getting the bike to start spitting out engine codes all for a little bit louder.
Im sorry, it just does not seem worth it IMO. but that's just my 2 cents.

Got to agree with you if you want to keep a warranty.
So since I'm a ***** regarding my warranty.....Cross thread points!!!....is there any way a dealer could recognize you've decatted...and would that void the warranty?
So since I'm a brand new Harley owner, don't they hook the bike up to the emissions machines like they would do a car? If so, I'm sure that's one way they could tell right off if the cat had been removed.
