I'm 5'7". I went with a KlockWerks 6.5. I think it's a great windshield.

This being my first bike with a fairing and windshield, I'm not expert. I went with the Long Rides Shields Ultra Elite 8" in dark tint, and it is much better than stock for me. I'm pretty happy with it. so far. I've taken one trip with it since I've had it, to Atlanta from STL and back.

Default Lrs 11"

I'm 5'10". Use a 11" LRS Stingray in light tint. I see over it fine for normal riding, but look thru it in parking lots and slow speed. Under $100 including shipping. Good value! Good product. Get a little buffeting above 70 MPH. I'm old so I don't ride above 70 MPH often.

Put a 7" HD Splitter on but use it for short trips, I'm 6' and the wind hits me in the face. I am sure the Mustang seat makes me sit up higher. Just ordered a 9" Long Ride Ultra Elite for longer trips, hope to take the wind over my helmet.

I received and installed a 10" wind splitter yesterday. I went with HD so that my warranty won't be voided.... I kid of course. I just like the windshield. I have had one on my SG for years. There are a couple cons but many pros. It's a personal preference and sometimes finding that perfect windshield can be expensive.

SG or RG?

I ordered a 10' LRS Stingray. I'm starting to worry it may be too tall for me.

Also where did you find it for less than $100? They're $85 on the LRS site, but shipping was $30 bucks! Found it on amazon for $102 even.

I bought my LRS on Amazon 2 weeks ago for $97. Their website was like you said $85, with shipping at $35. I have a '17 RGU and went with a 14" which is close to the stock shield height. I have about 400 miles on it and still undecided. The height is fine, but I'm not sure of the quality as it appears thinner than the stock shield, so not sure how long it will hold up.
