My SGS is the newest addition as I got it in June, so I've been riding it the most. I still ride the WG in to work at least once a week, and I did a few hundred miles on it the weekend before last, but blew a tail light bulb and just got around to ordering a replacement as I thought I had some extras but didn't. Plus I did around 2500 miles on it out to Colorado right before I bought the SGS.
Oh and I still would like to have an adventure bike like a KTM Adventure or BMW GS1200, but those will have to wait till I pay off the SGS.
A clutch you feel when you pull it in and let it out. The feelings of another time are all still there. The sound the vibration all of it just seems right even if it is not prefect.
Ride until it sputters flip to reserve head for gas. No read out miles to go and flashing light, no screen pops up and ask if you want it to find the nearest gas.
Nothing wrong with the new bikes they are great. Nothing can take away the miles of the past on the EVO. That is why we have never parted with it. Took us a lot of places and never failed to get us home.
It run best on 87 octane fuel, does not care for 91. No rear tire wider that a semi truck.
No front tire that belongs on a bicycle .
As for the wife she enjoys riding with me. She picks place to go on our trips I generally pick the route and away we go. Rain ,cold, heat , Traffic never a complaint.
Get your EVO enjoy it while you can.

I bought a (then new) '12 Limited, and planned to sell my '03 Heritage. I took the Heritage for a last ride, before listing it on cycle trader, and then I couldn't bring myself to sell it.... two different bikes, two different feels...
So for about 5 years now, I've had both. I use the Heritage for around town and the Limited for multi-day trips.... I'm glad I kept it.
It's good to have a choice!
Over the last several months, I really got to missing the feel, fun of my old '78 & '80 FXS bikes. Smaller, lighter than anything I have... just damn fun.
Just 2 weeks ago, I found an '01 Springer FXSTS, with a carb. It was all OEM except for the seat, and had 9,941 miles. I jumped on it! So now I have 3 bikes... all very different, but all very fun. And my wife loves all 3 ...... !
I'm sure the Springer will cut into my around town time on my Heritage, I'll just have to ride more....
Go for it.....!!! It's good to have a choice..

. I'll stay with my Carlini's, but those look great on the Springer. Congratulations.
