So we did a 200 mile ride yesterday to a new dealership. Well another dealership bought out an older one. Nice place though.
Was talking to one of the guys there. Not sure if he was a salesman or maybe higher up.
I asked him point blank about the warranty issue and aftermarket tuners and parts. I said from what I understand, the dealers hands are tied if the moco decides to deny a warranty claim. He said if you buy a bike from us, we're gonna take care of you. I will say though. They only reopened under new ownership since march, so maybe that has a part in him saying that.
I told him he was the only one out of three other dealerships to tell me that. I said I wish you guys weren't 200 miles away, or I would have bought or will buy again from you. lol
the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing..so much back and forth misunderstandings and miscommunications going on..I'd never believe a dealership that said "if you buy a bike from us, we're gonna take care of you"...I'd ask them to speak up into the microphone or get a document signed stating their accountability..period
Most of the dealers around here have that attitude. They said they will stand by what they sell and install. Most won't touch the tuner issue though. My dealership doesn't even sell any other tuner than the SE.

My dealer does sell other tuners. The same dealer that told me I would lose my warranty if I put headers on and did a non compliant tune. Its like double talk.
I asked how they sold the FP3's, but didnt get a clear answer, if one at all. I really want to go back and pin them down to a legitimate explanation on that.

They're just making a sale, it's up to the consumer to be informed.
