I go off the number on the shock

Number of clicks would give no reference to a starting point

The shocks are the same on the SG, SGS and RKS

It all depends on comfort between riders. One mans 5 is another mans 3 lol

Isn't the SG 13" and the SGS 12"? Anyway I liked 5 when the bike was new and as things have broken in I've settled on 10. 230lbs solo, add 110 when the chics on the back. 10 seems good for both cases.

If that was the case wouldn't the seat height and ground clearance measurements be different? According to Harley the two bikes are identical

if you look at the online bike compare tool they are slightly different..RKS has lower ground clearance, lower profile wheels, more 'slammed' than the RK

The Moco should have designed these with the adjustable shock on the right side of the bike as it would make access easier when parked on the jiffy stand.

The OP is, so I was trying to stick to that..and the Specials are all 2" of rear travel so....the rest of the Touring models have more... so my point was the settings are different and the distinction needs to be considered before recommending # of clicks, etc.

"Just curious what number you guys have your suspension adjusted too on your Touring bikes? My 2018 Road King Special was set on #5 from the factory "
