$266 per cc for those extra 3, what a bargain.

CC's?

What, are you on a Yamaha scooter? We're talking cubic INCHES here.... 3 CI is 49.16 CC's.

I can't see spending all that money for 3 cubic inches or even 6. The real performance increases come from the cam and head work combined with a stage 1. Don't get me wrong, no replacement for displacement but I doubt you will feel the difference with that little of a change.

Every time I think my way through engine work, I always end up stopping at a cam and heads or jumping all the way to S&S/Fuel Moto crate motor.

Once I get the point of changing jugs and pistons, I can't help but think to change the cam plate and oil pump, once I'm there, I start thinking about an S&S crank and so on and so on...

I've been debating the FM 117 or 120 kit myself, but just can't seem to decide. I was also thinking an HD stage 4, didn't know they had a stage 5. The one thing that scares me on some of these setups is the stock crank. None of these address improving that.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think I'll call FM and see the different cams available with 117 and 120 and make my decision from there. Thanks again.

Something to think about between the two. First as you said the cam. It makes the torque come on sooner and stay longer. Puts the power where we ride the most. But something no one has mentioned is the cyclinders. The 117 uses the stock ones punched out to the limit. The 120 uses new cylinders with ductile liners which also comes with larger fins for cooling. The addition of the cylinders along is what makes this kit the king. Motor will also be quieter with more meat on the sleeves.

Ive talked to them and am going the 120 for the reason of the cyclinders and the toques curve where i need it. Just my 2 cents

Plus you're getting valve springs. The added cost is 90% parts

Are you sticking with the stock crank? Cam plate and pump? Will you be changing parts in the primyto match the new power?
