I have a 14 King that I love, 38000 trouble free miles. I have "Meniere's disease" I take meds for it. This causes inner ear balancing problems, mostly in parking maneuvers and backing up.Sometimes i will lose balance of my bike and not realizing it till the weight gets to be to much. I can control it but I have to be very careful.
So I went and test drove a new 114 Heritage, I liked it, I also love chrome and the 18s don't have much. I think it rode smoother then my King , handling was different but good. I have a full stage-1 on my King and this Heritage was defiantly faster at any speed. On acceleration it has more vibration but when at steady speeds it smooths out , you can still feel the motor but it don't buzz as bad as my sons 16 Slim.
I did some slow parking lot maneuvering and back ups , a lot easier then my King. I worked out a price i was happy with, but one problem for me and to me a big one "color". I love dark reds like my King, I cant buy a bike I don't like the color of, for some reason no real reds on the Heritage, they have one called Twisted Cherry comes close but it has a Brown tint to it that I don't care for.
I love the look and ride of my King so I'm going to wait till the 19s come out and hope they have a color I like. I will say the new Heritage handles good and has a very good suspension and if your not big on chrome , it's a nice looking ride.
My condition isn't that bad, only time I have trouble is when I turn my head back when backing up, my bike will tip a little before I feel it. When driving no problems at all. I found the Heritage much easier to keep it up. Not ready for 3 wheels yet.
