Since im trying to keep my warrenty in good standing i havent done stage 1 yet. One day i will have my powervision installed on my m8 and etc. In the mean time i was wondering if harley has made any changes to the base map on the m8 touring line. My bike was made 4/17. Should have asked at my 1k mile service back in the summer but didnt. If so is it worth going and getting it flash etc.
I am usually very cautious of the updates unless there is a good reason. I have had bad luck with some in the past. Mine runs so darn good that I am not interested in any changes to it. Mine was built on 8/16.
Stage 1 doesn't void your warranty unless you use a non epa approved tuner......
Yea i know. But if i go stage 1 the cat will be gone and i will run my power vision off my other bike since i already have one. I have heard the screaming eagle stuff and not a fan.
My tech trying to solve a heat problem just found out that my bike is two updates behind on the ecm! So will see if that helps. Just thought I’d chime in on positive side of updates and bikes not running properly.
HD technicians are "supposed" to connect your bike to the digital technician with every service but I'm telling you, that does not happen unless they have a need to connect. Most dealerships have a much smaller ratio of digital technicians to actual techs turning wrenches. Sorry but that's just how it works. Yes, they should check to see if your ECM is flashed with the current version but unless you complain of an issue, it won't happen.

Dang. Hope they fix your bike. Nothing like buying a bike and it not run right.
