I have the high flow system on my bike and it sounds pretty good and seems to be sounding better. I now have 1200 miles on the Stage 3 and that is when I put the exhaust on. By the way I starting riding 1 year before you not long after coming home from Vietnam.

As far as sounds, here's a link for how they sound on my bike outside not in an enclosed area like many exhaust videos. As far as Stage 1 or 2, I found that around the 500 mile mark with the stock bike the performance really came around but if it were me, over the long haul, I think you'd have a bigger grin with at least the Stage 2. I know the after market will out perform but decided to stick with H-D parts for warranty.

As far as performance, here's a link to someone else that had them installed and about the 4 minute mark he shows the dyno sheet for the before and after of the install.

Not sure if you are looking for performance or just sound. I did the SE Cannons (but not the high flow system). Have heard of issues with the Cannons but so far I have not had a problem. Also added the Heavy Breather and did the stage 1 tune. Bike runs great and pulls way stronger than my 103" bike I traded in. The Cannons get much louder with miles, was told the packing gets "packed down". Have no clue if that is true, but the db's went up around 15% (measured) after about 5K miles.... Besides the high flow system just moves the cat back into the mufflers so you need to get the right Cannons for that setup and the cost in my opinion is not worth it. Good luck.

Riknbeth, I just got the cannon slipons, and it seems that most Ll the sound comes from right side. I know that side passes most of the exhaust due to header pipe design, but didn’t notice the dB difference between the two sides with the stock mufflers.
Did you notice big difference between the 2 sides on your bike early on?
As dBs increased with miles, is the sound more balances or more lopsided to right side?

That is a good question. Will have to check.

>> No, did not notice a difference at all

>> Just measured multiple locations the dB's are identical between right and left. I have about 13K on my M8 now and it looks like the dB's have continued to increase slightly. Nice rumble but not obnoxiously loud. I am kind of done with super loud... Getting old I guess!

My Street cannons are balanced better side to side now after several thousand miles. They are also a fair amount louder too. The torque increase over stock with the Stage 1 and dyno tune is a waste for the small increase. Rhineharts and RCX slipons will cause a torque loss on the M8’s. Street cannons, Khrome Werks, and the 4” Grand Nationals seem to be the leader in not losing torque on these bikes.

Stage 2 Torque cam has a very noticeable increase in torque, HP, and fun. The Street Cannons and MK45’s both perform well with the cam change. Will be trying the Magnaflow Hitmans next
