So I drooped off my 2018 Road King Special today at Fargo HD for a Stage III upgrade along with a few other things, Talked a while about the dyno time and how I would like to see the tuning completed. I will post the results when tit gets done. I was a bit disappointed that they were unaware of the TSB on the oil pump change out (TSB 1450) but Fargo is a bit in the sticks so I called and gave them the info so we will see what they do with it.
Changing out the Speedo as well with the Tach/Speedo combo and installing the license plate holder. They had a 20/20 discount until the end of Jan so I couldn't resist!
It does suck walking in the garage and not seeing the bike!
Fargo ND? Good lord where on earth can you go riding up there in the winter? You will love the stage three just break it in right. Now wild *** runs till you get at least a grand on it. You will really enjoy the 3K to 5K range for sure.
I was told by a couple of very reputable indy shops that if you crack any cover on the M8 to go ahead and replace the oil pump at that time whether you have had any problems or not. Sounded like they were very knowledgeable on the subject.
Unless you are changing the header, exhaust, and adding an aftermarket tuner - there is no need to dyno. If I am incorrect some please tell me.
"there is no need to dyno"..correct, not necessary..doesn't mean it ain't worth dyno tuning tho even with the SEPST, or you could just run the calibration and/or run some smart tunes

I also have the auto tuner with the wide band sensors. They can come close, but can always be improved upon, although as I am told only so much, still, some is some!
Five hours for Stage III? That seems really, really low. My dealer charged me six hours for a Stage II and that's just a cam change... seems like all the dealers around here were charging six hours. If that's true, it sounds like you're getting a screaming deal.
