We replaced the fuel rail yesterday on a friend's 2017 Ultra Limited after he broke it by trying to remove the tank w/o disconnecting the fuel line. We swapped the injectors to the new rail, buttoned everything up. Started up fine. Today, he is getting these codes:
P264 - rear injector high pressure
P261 - front injector low pressure
What could be throwing these codes? We connected up the connectors to the injectors correctly. We didn't note which injector was on which side, not thinking they were front or rear specific. Are they?
Thanks all for the replies. When he was riding over so we could start troubleshooting, the light went away. We've cleared the codes. He's going to ride and see if it returns, at which time I'll try your suggestions.
Look up the DTCs again. My 2014 book lists both a Fuel Injector Low/Open for either the front or rear. Just wondering if the ignition may have been switched on before all the wires & fuses were reconnected and that's why it threw the codes.
