Fitted mine in an hour, following the directions.Had to get it activated at the Shop!
Allways leave it set on auto.It activates independent of EITMS which I also always set to engaged.

I have one and it did help last summer. Kinda blew the CAT heat back down to the ground. But I pulled the CAT last week.........and BAM! Magic! Prob can just put my fan on "Auto" instead of "On" now.

I just had mine installed today at the dealer. Where is the auto setting that you are all talking about? I figured for $300 installed, it is a worthwhile investment here in Phoenix. They did it during the 1000 mile service today.

If they have fitted it correctly, the fan activation button is on the extreme left of the dash panel. With ignition on each time you depress the fan button it rotates thru Fanoff,Fanon or Fanaut.I just leave mine on Fanaut and let it do its thing!

I just looked and didn't see a button. If you could, would you take a pic? I looked in the installation instructions and did not see that mentioned. Thanks!

I think you are referring to the OIL COOLER with fan which is plug and play and has no buttons. The COMFORT fan fits behind the rear cylinder and draws the exhaust heat out and expells it under the rear wheel. You can find it and the installation data on the M8 accessorys listed on any Harley shop webpage. Both work great!

Yep, misread. I got the oil cooler fan. I feel better now. Thought they forgot the switch!
