$tonecold mentioned that he had called them and was told that the tuner (one of the best in the country) didn't want to publish his findings because he didn't think they could be reproduced.
...I wondered what that might have meant - tricky cam to tune? maybe really sensitive to a particular exhaust?
Would be real interesting to see what they do in the real world when they do come out. The timing looks similar to the t-man 200
Could be the 462 has cracked the code for grunt and they're keeping it under wraps for now maybe , if it's "all that" it might be the next thing for a drop in cam or cams.
Without seeing the dyno sheet on this cam it is hard to tell what its doing. We had this cam when we were doing testing, but decided not to use it for reasons I cant disclose. I suspect it comes in a little later than the bulk of the cams we did test.
I know the numbers are all different for the 4 valve heads but I thought the earlier closing and centreline on the intake might have made it earlier than the 460 ...but you think maybe coming on later. That maybe makes sense or they might have called it a 452
If they are available now then no doubt someone will do one soon enough
Not sure why this thread died. With the kind of numbers they are claiming, someone has to had tried them.
On this site there are no dyno sheets and on HTT there is only one dyno sheet posted for the M462. It is 107 running a CMP Short Dump exhaust. It does OK, makes 103 hp and almost 114 tq. The impressive thing is that the dyno run starts at 2000 rpm and the torque jumps to 110 ft/lb immediately. I would think that has more to do with the pipe than the cam. Still impressive. Pipes seem to make quite a bit of difference in the torque curve on these M8s. They seem to like a 2:1 for early torque, although I have seen some graphs of the Fullsac 2:1:2 that come on hard early.
