i did the same thing too, flared the end. thanks for the idea. got the pipe expander from autozone (loan program so its free, lol). same loudness but it smoothen the tone.

Question, so what are you opening up? The baffle or the pipe itself? Can you really hear a big difference or are you telling yourself so because you did the modification? No insults intended here........
