Thank you for the offer, but I found a shop here in Mesa to do the job. Labor is cheap, like 4 hours for new exhaust cam and 250 for tune. I'm not saving that much on the job by doing it myself and I'd still want it tuned on the dyno.
I"m in Gilbert too, if you see a black CVO riding around it's probably me.

Thanks again,

Glad you found someone to do it for you. I wont assume a black CVO is you, in this neighborhood many could afford it. If you want to get together and ride sometime PM me, I get back every other weekend.
Originally I wanted to go with a 22x and Vance and Hines Power Duals. But I called Woods Cams and got to talk to Bob and after a lot of input he suggested a 777 is what I should go with paired with a Fuel Moto Jackpot 2-1-2. Now I just need to fugue out for sure what tuner I want to use. My shop suggested the Power Commander but I kind of wanted a flash tuner. Is there anything pro con for the Power Commander?

I'll shoot you a PM and catch a ride sometime.

I dont agree with Bob on this one. If you go on his website, www.woodcarbs.com, only find one dyno run for a CVO 117. It has a 22x in it and it is making 120 ft/lb of torque at 2200 rpm. All the runs with the 777 are FuelMoto big bore 117 kits that have 11.2:1 compression and still they didnt make 100 ft/lbs of torque until 2500 rpm. On your lower compression engine I see it killing your low end torque. The 22x would be much more fun to ride. If you want a cam that will make more hp and not leave you wanting for torque I would suggest the S&S 475 or the TTS 150.
As far as tuners go, the Power Commander is old technology. Go with the PowerVision or the TTS. Find out what the tech youre going to use is comfortable with. If theyre not comfortable with either one get a new technician.
I do agree with you, but I think the 777 will offer more hp and a longer broader torque range. I want the bike to rev up more and I did tell Bob that I like to ride it like I stole it. I'm sure I'll be happy with the results. Anything will be better that stock.... I think. I told Bob that I like to ride hard so I think he was thinking hp. But I don't know why he recommended that. Its what I ordered so I'm gonna run it and post the results. If I get 120tq below 3k I'll be happy and if I get close to 120hp I'll be happy. We'll let the numbers tell the story.
I'll get them to change the tuner to Power Vision. They use all the tuners so no issues there. Thanks for the advice.
