Default Do I need to upgrade the 114 AC?

Just bought a 2018 Heritage Softtail 114 and am looking at doing some upgrades, which would typically include AC, full Exhaust, Tuner and cams... but I read on another forum that the stock air filter and port on the 114 is already large enough that an upgrade is not necessary... does anyone have any hard numbers on this or recommendations?

for a Stage 1 I can't imagine the OEM 114 AC not allowing enough air..but what I would be curious about is comparing the SE Ventilator AC kit to the OEM..when taking the cover and AF off the OEM, are the backplate and breather tubes identical to the SE kit? if so good to go..and is the OEM AF element paper, should say in the cleaning section of your OM. as the SE kit is K&N which would allow more air through than paper

if it's a paper element you can hold it up to the light and look thru, it'll be painfully obvious compared to either the SE synthetic media or K&N...since they claim a 50% better air flow with the 8 valves I think it's a good idea to try and take advantage of at least some of that by getting the least restrictive element, of course less restrictive exhaust and proper tuning go along with that

if you take your AF and cover off and it looks like this it's the Ventilator..which looks like it obviously is, but it's the MOCO we're talking about here, they make a gazillion different parts and love to sell them to us!
