Hi all, looking for some advice on installing these headers. The rear headpipe is hitting, or sitting against the transmission case at the top. I used the gaskets that came with the headers but it seems no matter how I align them, once I start tightening them down, they snug up against the case.
Anyone have any tips on installing theses (18 RGS)
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens with my dealer and RC Components on this one. This is not ok. Did you contact RC Components yet? I'm not over the top impressed with them anyhow and may push for my money back and go a different route........
Thanks for posting this, I hadn't even noticed it yet!
Haven’t called them yet, will call them or West end this week and see if I can get some info. They seem to be popular headers, but haven’t found anyone citing this issue with them.
Truth be told, I’m not exited about how they do not use the stock hanger bracket for the front pipe and the o2 sensor higher up (front) which leaves an open engine stud and the wire hanging more open. Figured I could overlook those two but definitely do not want them sitting on the transmission case.
