I purchase a road king special 2018 this year
I do not want a faring which is why purchased the Road King I just want some speakers Im looking for the best way to go I was thinking speakers and sub woofer in the saddle bag I cant really find any great videos on YouTube on the whole install process what are you guys using those of you who have speakers with Bluetooth connectivity on your road kings Any brand names of speaker lids or companies that sell good products pertaining to this would be very helpful also any YouTube videos that I may have overlooked thank you
Here is the set up I have. Hogtunes speaker lids with HAT 6x9s, HD lowers with Soundz 6.5 and a Soundz amp in the saddlebag. I use a Tsukayu Bluetooth controller which gives me the audio controls on my handlebars.
I went with Rockford Fosgate's kit because it installs into your existing bag lids and looks more or less stock. It's $500 for the speakers alone, but it saves the hassle of painting, etc. The speakers themselves aren't fantastic but they are decent for marine grade. I ride with no windshield and a full face helmet and I can hear music fine at highway speeds, but I do need to play it at a pretty high volume. I'd recommend an amplifier that puts out 75 or more watts per channel continuous (many you'll find rated at 45 wpc). I used a Rockford Fosgate Punch amplifier that puts out 100 wpc and find that it's plenty powerful.
