Default T/aller riders input

I have a 2018 FLTRU which had horrible stock bars for anyone tall. I just put on Harley Chizeled Lo bars on in hopes of being able to stretch out my arms some. They are only slightly less bad than the original stock bars. If I push them far enough forward where they're comfortable the mirrors or the hand controls hit the windshield. I pulled them back just far enough to keep the mirrors and hand controls from hitting the windshield at full lock and they're back farther than I like and the grips angle down instead of straight across. Anyone tall that doesn't like tall apes have any suggestions? I don't like leaning back against a backrest or leaning back at all. I prefer an upright or slightly forward leaning position for riding, this is what is comfortable for me.

I am 6'7" on a 2017 RGU and yes the stock bars are no good for anyone that tall, my biggest issue was no so much the hand/arm position but the fact the bars were so close to my knees due to long legs. I am not a fan of really tall apes and like my hand position to be at about nipple level. I went with 12" Spooky Fast bars which opened up the space from my knees to the bars as well as put my hands at the same height that I ride on my Wide Glide. In addition the Mustang seat that I replaced the Stock with puts you back 1.75" so this also helps put you in the position that you are back further from the bars. You prefer the grips with more of an downward angle, these bars have some slight pull back so they are not straight across but they do not really angle down.

Here are a few pics for reference

Thanks for the reply. I too have a Mustang seat that moves you back and down. I like that the grips on your bars are straighter and don't angle down. That's what I was hoping for with mine, but I had to pull them back so far to keep from hitting the windshield that it rolled them back where the grips angle down now. I had Ballistic relaxers on my 2012 FLTRX and loved the feel of those but I don't think they would work on Road glide ultra.

Default Harley brand 12" mini apes and tall boy seat

I'm 6'2" and really like the Harley 12" mini apes I put on my 2019 Road King Special. I also have a Harley Tall boy seat that is very comfortable.
