I’ve been down this same road before. I’ve also switched back to the stock tensioner. Broken springs and heavy wear. Stay stock.

Agree.
I bit into that hokey thing and it worked as it should for about a month.
Back to stock.
My friend got one installed with a new comp on his 09 Ultra and it seemed fine before he stepped up to his M8 Ultra.

You are supposed to have about a 1/2” of play with the stock tensioner as the chain will get tigher once it heats up. Is the chain now tight with no free play with the new setup?

I've been down the Hayden road on a 11 Road King. I will never go down that road again. Look up my old Thread to see the pics, and the customer service was bad too.

Was this on a M8? I found my OEM running loose at around 15K miles - seems to be a common complaint. Just kicked it up a notch and it's been fine. At least the does not ratchet up too tight like the older design.
