Theres really no point in worrying. Enjoy the bike but stay informed. If HD doesnt update SB1450 to include 2019 M8s, that will be a good sign. But personally I think well all need to see a full hard riding season in hot weather to have real confidence in the new oil pump seal design.
If we get to October 2019 without any further updates to SB1450 or including 2019s, than the issue of sumping will be resolved. But personally I have serious doubts well make it that long without a revision to SB1450.
I plan on Riding the crap out of my 19 CVO Road glide. Figure if I make it to Jan 2020, the bike should have 20K miles on it. If it hasn't sumped by then, it will be turned into a 128" bike. Already have a spare set of CVO heads to be worked, and a CVO throttlebody to go to HPI.
Between the 3 CVO M8 bikes I have owned I have Just over 47500 miles on the M8. My 18 sumped once, but I knew what the symptoms were, so shut it down right a way. 1/2 and hour later started it and let it idle 10 minutes. Then rode on. Never had another issue in the next 6000 miles on that bike.
Hope that the issue is gone for 2019. Will take this one out west, TX, NM, AZ and UT in June. AZ hwy 666 is where the 18 had the issue. Will be running it again the opposite direction this year.

wonder if that's the route Heatwave uses for his guaranteed sumping tests?

If your 2019 has the seal on the oil pump I think it will be fine. I really believe the seal is doing some good. Like I explained in the thread that got locked, I think it is creating a vacuum in the crankcase which seemed to be the premise for a solution that the author in the AI mag put forward.
If you get out to the Phoenix area let me know, we'll go have a cold one or something. You'll need it here in June!

I don't know about Heatwave, but this guy is certainly putting his bike through the wringer. You can hear the floor boards scraping when taking the corners.

Nice riding. He needs some rocker lockers or something bad. ha

I do hope your correct. I did read all the AIM mag articles. It may be the solution, or at least significantly reduce the chances. Not sure if we will make it to Phoenix or not. We are going to Winslow and to the Grand Canyon. It will be four couples on this trip.

Last summer we did AZ 191 or Old 666 south bound. We are going to do it North bound this year. It looks like the better way to take the road. Its loads of fun, a great ride. For not knowing the road, we pushed it pretty good last Sept. I dragged a few times as did two others. It was all of our first time on the road.
My 19 CVO RG sumped from day one. 23oz in the crankcase. Compression good, leakdown good, crank runout good. Still ticking, but dealer swears it's normal lol. Another shop suspects cam chain noise. Still working on H-D to find the noise. It never showed symptoms of sumping, just had the noise.
