I wouldnt sweat it. Harley engine crankcases are a "dry sump" design, meaning the oil should be pumped out of the crank case and back into the oil pan. In rare cases, oil is not being pumped out, causing the flywheels to travel through too much oil. Bad juju ensues - loss of power, starvation of oil to other parts of the engine, etc etc

Lots of threads about sumping. I'm curious about recognizing the bogging.
Is it real obvious? Like if the timing was off on your car or had a wire off one of the plugs?
Or is it something you need to look for. "Am I sumping, I think I'm sumping" LOL
Does oil ALWAYS come out the air filter? No oil, No sumping?

But I would say my case was definitely unusual, I wouldn't generalize from what happened to me. Hundreds of thousands of these bikes on the road, a tiny percentage have problems.
