"...and then you get black-listed as the complainer. Next time you bring your bike in....you get a little "special" service." I'm thinking they teach this at school. Had my Low Rider in the shop for leaky fork seals Asked if they could grease my steering bearings since they had my forks apart already. They quoted me 2 hours. I told them that was outrageous and I would do myself when I could set my home shop up. (in the middle of moving) The SM called me 2 hours later and told me they scratched my fork tube top bolt when it flew off the fork. No problem (me) They didn't tell me it landed on my Supertrapp muffler and put a ding in it. When I picked the bike up I got a bill for $503. 3 hrs labor @ $115 and $153 in parts. I was livid! They replaced the dust covers and charged me double. Charged me for 3 16 oz bottles of fork fluid. Replaced the Damper screws (my best description ) @ $16 apiece. (Book is $6.99) Ace Hardware is about $3.25. Had a key chain with a pic of my wife and I at bike week. That was missing when I picked the bike up. This was in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. I won't mention the name of the dealer.
Lmao...dealer? I dont care what make vehicle it is.....never go back unless its a serious warranty problem. They have gaint overhead...techs paid poorley. Most are on flat rate . Most techs never have to look you in the eye so they could give a ship less about your equipment. Chevy,Gmc,Audi,Mercedes,Peterbilt Harley Davidson....doesnt matter. As a fleet manager of 122 vehicles... had problems with service at ever one of them with ine thing or another....was my job to check on them. Even as far as marking certain things to see if service reallynwas done....90% of service never done or done wrong. Oh and your m8......we run 3.2- 3.4 quarts in everyone of them and they never use a drop in 5 k we let them go. Just went 8 k on my personal...not a drop used. But the waxer crowd that pulls the dip stick 5 times a week .....they top it off with 2oz or half a quart. Lol it will push that extra out every time.. Your doing it rite by doung it yourself or find a good local guy that cares. Its not just a MOCO.problem. Hey and check your tire pressures...sent one to dealer after setting tire pressures to 50 rear 40 front( avon tires and avon pressures). Came back 24 rear 32 front....WTF. It went in for a bad radio.....Sad really.
Sucks doesn't it. I get free tire rotation and flat repair at the shop I got my tires from, so I marked them one day as it didn't look like they had been rotated on my truck. sure enough they didn't rotate them but said they did. I had the dealer do my 1k service on my limited. 25 front 35 rear when I checked at home. Makes me wonder what else they actually checked for the 450 bucks they charged. the belt was at 1/16 deflection too when I checked the next morning.
