why does the air cooled 114 have more torque 123ft lbs. than the twincooled 114 113ft lbs.thanks

My uneducated guess...would be, air cooled (hotter engine) better combustion... Just a guess! CSM-H

Also the higher number may be at the crank, the lower number might be at the wheel.

Where did u get those numbers from on the twin cooled 114? I agree with Thingfish, its likely at the rear wheel and the oil cooler 114 is at the crank.

122 ft. Lbs per HD twin cooled 114.

That sounds like the torque number for the 107...
