Clutch Chatter
Back story - when I did my 1k service, I used all Redline products. At 1900 miles, the primary vent was installed at Red Rock HD in Vegas, and of course the primary was filled with the HD whatever. I can't tell you when, but over the last 8k miles I started to feel the clutch chatter at the clutch lever.
Yesterday, I performed the 10k maintenance, and used all Redline products again. The primary oil was pretty dirty, not unlike you cars oil after 5k miles. Trans oil was still pink, but not bright like new. All to be expected, of course. As a side note, zero transfer since the vent was installed.
I took a 150 mile cruise to and along Lake Mead today in perfect 85* weather, and the clutch is again as smooth as butter.
I'm glad it wasn't a clutch issue.
This bike continues to amaze me. I've had many over the years, this one might be a keeper.
Side note: My primary and trans operate exactly like they did on the Formula+. No better, no worse. And never any clutch chatter or other weirdness.
