Default Spadafora handguards

I’ve always thought handguards look cool on Harley’s. I Like a little bit of the performance flavor in my bikes. Taller shocks, t bars that sorta thing. They really do a great job of keeping your hands from being frozen too. I got these from
spadafora choppers on the east coast. Really like how they look, they have a really cool turn signal/ running light kit for them too but I already have the CD windshield trim setup so I didn’t opt for that.

Not sure why this is in the M8 forum, but I never liked the look of hand guards, I use gloves.

I always thought the reason for a fairing was for protection from the elements so bars above the fairing kinda defeat the purpose in my opinion....

Never understood the reason for hiding behind the fairing. Much more comfort from taller bars than discomfort from a little wind. This is why someone invented gloves. Never got that much wind protection for my hands from the fairing anyway.

agreed. However, pretty much every single road trip I go on I have to cross the cascade mountains, it could
be in the low 60s in the morning where I live, mid 40s on the mountain passes, then 85+ on the other side of the Mountain in the afternoon when I get to where Im goin. This is pretty typical. I also ride in the winter when it’s dry, I don’t winterize my bike. So that means I could go be out for 3-4 hours on my bike when it’s in the upper 30s, I’ve yet to find a regular insulated glove that could keep my hands from going numb in that. Hand guards really work great for keeping tour hands from getting completely frozen when the windchill is down almost into single digits. I have heated gloves too but I only wear those on long rides cuz their such a pain in the *** with the wiring harness but they work great.
