Anyone out there fitted the front and rear mount replacement kit.Specifically on the M8 Touring models?
Need to know if they made a difference?I also dont understand why they suggest a different reference number between the 2017 and 2018 models?
The frame and every other part that they connect to are exactly the same! Casting about to totally eliminate the irritating high speed cornering instability.
High speed instability on an M8 touring bike? Only time I've experienced that was with improper tire inflation or suspension setting. Haven't heard of the stabilizers you're referring to - interesting.
I used an alloy art frame stabilizer on my 2016 road glide, and bought one for my 2019, but it wouldn't fit, so I left it alone. With my Öhlins rear shocks - no matter what I did, I couldn't ever recreate the wobble I once experienced on my Road Glide. IMO my bike needs nothing else. That didn't stop me getting Öhlins fork cartridges in the fork though :-)
Ever since we spent a week touring on the 2018 rental Softail heritage at high speed.I have been looking to get the same faultless handling out of my 2017 114 Stage 111 street glide which oscillates through sweeping bends at 80+.
Yes new tyres correct pressures, reset head bearings, tested and balanced rims etc.
Right, first guy who tells me to ride slower, wins a tyre wrench!
The glide pro system uses a replacement swing arm pivot axle and replacement neoprene isolator mounting rubbers, which makes it unique!
Been around since before 2008.Recon as they made an upgraded M8 version, the problem still exists?
If if you feel the need for it, go for it. Your bike obviously has an issue that needs remediation. I was only saying that my 2019 is rock steady and needs no such help. Good luck.
I experienced what you mentioned on my 05 Ultra.
My 19 limited is hibernating with a tick under 8K this year and through plenty of 80+ sweepers never felt the wobble, even a resemblance of one.
Only time it ever got silly was high, high winds or passing a semi.
There was a video on here a while back showing police testing of the newer touring chassis and highlighted the rear end oscillation. Steering dampers are nothing new. But let's be real, the rear suspension on these from the factory is ****. Some quality shocks on the rear and the handling improves dramatically.

Wasn't that video from 10 years ago? Not being a wise *** but if it's the same vid I'm thinking of, it was quite old...

I've seen that video too, but there was another one with the M8 equipped bikes. There was another stabilizer company that was using it to explain the need for their product.
