If I am running the same risk as the current stock pump AND the 2020 pump; which really hasn't been proven, and the S+S which could fail also. Then why not just buy the Harley 2020 pump ? Know ?

Now over to p/n 62400238 to see if there is really a difference tween the S+S and the Harley.

Does the M8 Oil pump and cam plate correct the M8s sumping issues ?
No it does not, our pump has dual scavenging and other features but does not cure the issues the the M8 has.

Speaking just for the clutch you want, Bandit is the best of the best... If every (99.5%) top fuel bike in the world runs a Bandit clutch it does so for a reason, the sportsmen http://www.banditmachineworks.com/pd...ndout203RN.pdf is a nice fit for the M8's and you will never need more clutch despite what you throw at it.

I'm with you on choice of tuners, ThunderMax or TTS, both have the capabilities of dialing it in to a nats ***. TM is expensive but they work and the more you ride the better they get.

Ok fellas .. (and fellettes if there are any listening)
Final Build list .. was a really tough to decided but at the end of the day I want something reliable. There may be some weak spots that Ill need to keep an eye on. Clutch and Basket. Ive heard of the basket (maybe a comment or two here) coming apart. Ive also heard thats happening when guys are slamming through the gears. This package is also much cheaper and is supposed to produce better results at the back wheel. Time will tell about that and reliability.

Zipper Sleeper 124" Kit W/Red Shift 468 Cam
Thundermax tuner
Screamin Eagle High flow 5.5 Injectors
Screamin' Eagle High Flow 64mm EFI Throttle Body
kit,op 8 lobe Scaveng wt
Screamin EagLe High Capacity Clutch
GASKET Primary Cover
Oil filter
Derby cover gasket / o rings
Feuling HP+ Lifters 4025
Oil jet Gaskets

Rinehart Slimline Duals with DBX40 cans are already installed.

Build date 2/24

.. and yes. It is expensive. I'm tight too. Buy shopping around and looking for the lowest prices I was able to save $302.02. A far cry from the $4876.19 otd I will be spending.
.. but I will be 57 on Valentines day (no wishes necessary) and never REALLY did any engine work. So .. I figured what the hell. I have some savings for retirement. But not as much as I should have .... but dont worry boys .. my wife is a nurse and 9 years younger than me. ... and if things dont go well, my daughter told me that I can be like Arthur and live in her basement !

.. will let ya know how it feels when done.

No way I would go with RS 468 on that build. Go with something with more top end. I had the zippers 117 sleeper kit with that cam and it just runs out of legs as rpms rise. I like a more balanced power curve. I would strongly consider the CR 470 cam in that build. FWTW

Yeah ... they have the 472 as an option on the 124 sleeper .. but I'm just not that aggressive; spirited yeah but not aggressive. I like the tug when I lean over and roll on running the sweeps.. and am no more than 80 on the highway unless a cage pisses me off. Low to mid range is where I need to be.

I think you should seriously cconsider a Power Vision with a Fuelmoto map for that build. That'll save you a few more bucks plus be much better in the long runn. Looks good otherwise.
