I ordered one off Amazon... worked great. The instructions showed the JIMS tool and were in perfect English. The tool looked identical but had no markings.

Yup. Thats exactly the one I got. I was a little nervous, but for how little I plan on using it, I didn't need a commercial grade tool.

The thing is, I'm pretty sure it is the JIMS tool, just w/ no markings. Almost as if the manufacturer doesn't brand them so they can sell them for less. I dunno....either way it worked perfect.

Or from a machinist who bought a JIMs tool to copy, machined a copy of it and photocopied the instructions.

yes it did. I was worried the thumb screws would be off or threaded wrong, but it worked like a dream. If I did this for money or buisness, I would get the jims, but doing this in my garage for only maybe a handfull of time. The amazon one worked great.
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I hear alot of people bought the tool for a one time use, is there anyone selling it. The jims kit is pretty nice, but way to expensive.
I have been toying with the idea of selling mine but I probably wont. Nice tool to have around when you get the itch
Seems like I've been buying tools my entire life, wife understands I might buy a tool and only use it once. Never liked the idea of knock offs, so I got this one from Georges. I don't loan out my stuff but I do open up my shop to friends and help them with their projects. I really like the M8, I'm sure I'll have another, Plus a brother just picked up a 2020 and plans to bring it over for a cam swap. Good Times!!
