Not sure this is normal, so turning here for help. New FLHT got delivered this winter, changed levers to Softbrake before using std levers. So my maybe issue is, when I pull in the clutch and shift I can feel the shift in the clutch in the lever. Just a small kinda bump. I have used Softbrake levers on the Rushmore FLHTK and don't remember this. So is this normal, do I have a lever issue or a clutch pack issue or nothing at all. thanks for the replies.

Pretty normal. You get more feedback with a hydraulic clutch. Fairly subtle, I think, but you can definitely feel it.
Thanks for replies. After reading all the clutch problems I don’t want to get stranded by the side of the road, had enough with a ‘89 lower rider I had. Thanks again

I don't think this is about the hydraulic clutch. I've never seen this or any other feedback in any other hydraulic clutch, including my 2016 FLHTCU.
This has something to do with the slipper mechanism, or some other characteristic of the clutch, but not the hydraulic system in particular. I noticed it immediately when I test rode my 2018 FLTRU, and mentioned it to the sales guy upon return from the test ride. He said, "this is a new feature." ha ha
