I am looking at a new bike, going from a 2012 UC to a Rushmare RG. After reading hours of threads I am left wondering should I get a 15-16 and avoid the M8 and sumping issues. Did they all have issues or was it just a few? Did the mothership get it fixed and what was the cost. They are a bunch of great very low mile bikes in my area from private parties that I can pay cash for. Not really loving the idea of a 32k RGS from my local dealer.

seriously? uhm, no not all the ~ half a million M8s sumped..not sure how anybody could even ask that question "After reading hours of threads"
only response I can provide is after owning M8s since they came out..I couldn't enjoy riding a TC again after riding M8s for the last 4 years
I just have read some many horror stories and I do realize that the squeaky wheel is louder. I have 40k trouble free miles on my 2012 but it is time to move on. Thanks guys i will be posting pictures soon.
I put 23,000 miles on my '17. Only issue was recalls(?) and left switch pack.
After 7,500 miles on my first '19 it sumped. Sumped again 30 miles after the H-D fix. Bike was replaced by Harley
Second '19 I've 24,000 miles on it. Had transfer issue. Dealer installed the primary vent at 1,000 miles. No more transfer! This second Limited hasn't seen the service dept except for a couple flat tires. Zero warranty issues since the vent was installed.
Would the 14-16 be a better bet? Maybe! I enjoyed the 103HO. Nothing wrong or weak about it.

keep in mind..some 2019s may or may not have the factory fixes installed for trans transfer and sumping, ...the primary vent is obvious but the 8 Lobe oil pump not sure how to validate. but all 2020s have them both

I can have my dealership run the vin maybe that can help.
Sumping is like Covid to me. I’m sure some people have had their bike sump and I’m sure some people have contracted Covid. I personally have never seen or known of anyone to have an M8 sump and I have never seen or known someone to have Covid. YMMV.
