Default Stage 3 problems

Looking for any and all feedback! Are there typical problems after a stage III on a 107M8? If so, what are they and why do they occur?

I had a stage III done on a 2018 sport glide less than 1000 miles ago. Now, I’ve got an incredible noise coming from the front cylinder. Had to have the bike towed at Sturgis now trailering it home and wondering do I take it back to the same shop that did the stage three or have somebody else look at it? I am being told valve spring failures are not uncommon. Again, any thoughts comments especially previous experience would be greatly appreciated!

Main problem I've seen with people going with the moco stages is 3 & 4 people get the sumping issue best to stay away from them and go with people like fuel moto and zippers then get the fueling cam plate and pump have not herd a single problem from people running those

where do you live at?

Damn, sorry to hear that bud. Definitely sounds like a typical valve train failure whether it's the spring or maybe lifter coming apart. I'm guessing your bike is full out of warranty by now?! If it is out of warranty, I really do agree going to fuel moto would be a great way to take care of this. Those Harley parts are known to have reliability issues, so maybe fuel moto can address this for good.

If you only have 1000 miles on the install, doesn't the dealer give u a 6 month warranty on the install? Maybe you do still have warranty?

Please keep us posted.

Hd does warrant the upgrades but only if the upgrades were done in a certain amount of time from the purchase. When i bought my 18 and had the stage 3 done, i added the extended warranty as a just in case

I would take it back to who ever put the Stage 111 in and give them a chance to check it out. I would thing they are repayable in the first place or you would have never used them. Sometimes **** happens.

I have owned 4 StreetGlides : 2010,2014,2016 and 2017.All of them I upgraded myself to Stage 111, and Harley tuned them.Did good hard touring mileages on all of them!
Nary a mechanical problem or breakdown! Some wobbled including the M8. Resized the swing arm shaft and added two spacers, all good. Now my friends call me

I'm at about 25K mile on my Stage III and my noise up by the front cylinder at about the 22k mile mark was the compensator. When I bought my bike sumping was the hot topic with Stage III and IV so I sprung for the "extended 7 warranty" at purchase and the work was done at the 800 miles mark about 3 weeks after I bought the bike. No other issues for me. As far as your situation I think there is a 1 year warranty on the parts when a dealer installs a stage kit.
