I debated this, and would for sure save some coin. These MK45s have a good low rumble, but I really like that crack of the rinehart’s. I’ve done much YouTubing with and without cats on both set ups, and I think I prefer the rinehart’s.
Do you're homework before you spend more money on slip ons. I've heard and it may have been discussed here, that rineharts hurt performance a bit. I LOVE the mk45s. Ran them on my 17 for 3 years with aftermarket stage 2 and IMO think they are the best sounding pipes I've heard. They get better sounding with time as well, like most slip ons.
The sound really is in the cam and headers though. Went down this road when I bought my first Harley. The one in my sig. I started with the MK45s with the stock bike, then added the stage 1 at my 1k service. Sound improved a bit, but REALLY improved when I went with the stage 2 a year later. I have some you tube videos of my set up if interested.
Bump. Anyone know why some air cleaners mention a breather tube and some dont? For example the Ness big sucker mentions a patented breather tube but the fuel moto or Trask ones do not mention them. Thanks for the help

They all have some kind of breather (tube) system for the M8.
Has anyone heard any feed back on the Cobra Pro Chamber head pipes or are they too new?
I have these on my RKS and they look and sound awesome. Very pleased with the quality and sound, but I've also installed the torque cam from HD so that changes them from what they would sound like stock.

Much appreciated my friend. Ride hard but ride safe!
If I can ad, before you spend the money on new slip-ons because your not a fan of the MK-45's sound, put the new head pipe on or even as just mentioned decat your existing head pipe and listen to the MK-45's again. The Cat head pipe is whats making it not sound good.
I totally agree with GlidingJoe , I just yesterday got my V&H pipes, air cleaner and tuner installed. My Limited runs much better and crisper due to the tune, but the sound is lame and tame since I still have a CAT.
Ok, so I've lurked long enough, done as much digging as I can and I've come up with a few questions. So I've got a 2017 RKS 107 M8. I think I've decided on the FM jackpot 2/1/2 headers, and the rinehart motopro 45s. My bike currently has the stock headers with cats and the S&S MK45s, and I really don't like the sound. Going with the power vision tuner as well. Anyways, I've loaded up my cart on the FM site, but i'm a little hung up on the air cleaner. I love the look of the rinehart inverted air cleaner, but haven't been able to find much on here about it. Sounds like a forum fav is the SE heavy breather, which I do like the look of too. Just curious as to any benefit of one over the other, or if most of these are a wash. I called FM and they obviously suggest the FM AC/DC intake, which I'm not entirely opposed to either, but just love the look of the rinehart inverted. As for future plans, I have no plans to go any further than a stage one ever. Don't see the need for it for myself. Thanks for the help!
I just did a stage 1 and 2 on my 2019 Road Glide Ultra and the biggest and longest decision was the AC. Finally decided on the SE extreme because I didn't want it to interfere with my knee. Liked the looks of the SE with a Defiance insert.

Grumman74, just curious if you ran those MK45s with the DB reducers in, or did you take them out. I'm also on the fence with the MK45's. Thanks!
